It is important for you to clean your history record every time you use internet. You never know if other people who use your computer can see each website you had visit. In order to clean up the history, you must modify the system registry. But, before adjust it; you have to back up the registry. So, if there's serious problem during modify the registry, you still be able to restore the default setting.

1. for Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, 5, 5.5, 6.0 Users:
1. First of all close all running Internet Explorer and other browser windows.
2. Go to Control Panel and click Internet Options.
3. Then, choose the General tab and click Clear History.
4. Click yes and OK to close Internet Options dialog box.
If the addresses are still record in the Address box in Internet Explorer, try to use other ways:
1. Quit the window
2. Delete all the values exclude the (Default) value from this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
2. For Internet Explorer 3.0 Users:
1. Click Options on the window which placed on View menu
2. Then, choose the Navigation tab
3. Next, click Clear History and click OK.
If there's any problem when you are trying to delete the history and the URL trace still draft in the Address box in IE for Windows 95, you can seek other way:
1. Close the window
2. Delete the values, but not the Default value with registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
